New arrival, Mikron MILL P 1400U now commissioned

GASE Engineering news and updates, aerospace machining capability, new equipment, quality standards, and project highlights supporting high integrity aerospace manufacturing.

GASE Engineering has now taken delivery of our 26th Mikron machining centre, further strengthening our 5-axis capability and capacity.

The latest addition is a 5-axis Mikron MILL P 1400U, complete with a multi-pallet changer. Commissioning is now complete and the machine is in production, complementing our existing Mikron MILL P 500U and 800U platforms.

At a glance

  • Mikron MILL P 1400U, 5-axis machining centre

  • Multi-pallet changer for faster changeovers and higher spindle utilisation

  • 1.4 metres of travel, opening up larger prismatic work

  • Improved throughput on repeat jobs and families of parts

What this adds for our customers

With 1.4 metres of travel, the MILL P 1400U gives us more room for larger workpieces and more flexibility in how we fixture and process complex parts. That extra envelope also supports more efficient one-hit machining strategies, helping to reduce handling, cut set-ups, and protect accuracy.

The multi-pallet capability is equally important. It allows us to queue work, standardise fixtures, and keep changeovers short. For customers, that means smoother scheduling, better consistency across batches, and more predictable lead times, from development parts through to planned production.

Continued investment in capability

This latest delivery is part of our ongoing investment in high-integrity manufacturing. Adding capacity on proven Mikron platforms helps us scale without compromising the process control and repeatability our customers rely on.

If you have a larger prismatic component, or a programme that would benefit from palletised 5-axis machining, send us your drawing or model and we’ll confirm the most efficient route through machining, inspection, and finishing.
